First Day of School Good, Bad and Ugly

Good: The boys were excited for the first day of school, and couldn't wait to see their friends.

Bad: The summer went way too quickly and we weren't able to do all the things that we wanted to do.  I didn't have enough time to enjoy just having my boys home.

Ugly: I miss them so much when they are at school.   They are so much fun and keep me laughing and entertained all the time.  The house just seems so quiet without them here during the day. I guess I will just have to find a diversion. Shopping??

The 2010 Kjar Family Chewy NCAA Chewy Awards:

We had the 4th annual Chewy awards Mother's Day Weekend at my brother's house in SLC (thanks guys).
My baby brother, Adrian runs the tournament, and the awards show. He is awesome.  He sends out the funniest emails and posts throughout the tournament.  He is really talented and should be writing for a sports column somewhere! Thanks Adrian, for making the tournament so much fun!  We had a girl for the winner this year, congratulations Amanda, way to represent.  I got the first place women's ribbon and Ryan got the 2nd place men's ribbon.

Braydon's Halloween costume worked perfectly for the awards, expect for the missing glove.  His cousin Conner wanted to be part of the fun so he got in his Spiderman Costume.

Good: We had a great Spring Break!

What did we do during Spring Break?

The boys went to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Utah for a week.  They had great adventures in the "country" went to the BYU Museum, swimming and so much more. Thanks G&G!

Braydon got the Kindness Award at school, he was so proud! He really was happy.

We had an Easter Egg Hunt in our backyard:

We went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs:

 We went rock climbing at the zoo:

We went to The Cave of the Winds:

We went to the Indian Dwellings (that were brought in from Pueblo...but shhh don't tell Kole he will be devastated!)

We went to the Olympic Training Center:

and FINALLY we did what Braydon wanted to do so so  badly! We miniature golfed, because there are no places to Mini Golf in Denver right?

The Goods Bads and Uglies

Yea!!!!, after a sad, dismal year at the Pinewood Derby last year (Kole's car did not even make it all the way down the track) we pulled off an amazing feat. On Tuesday, Kole took first place and Braydon took 2nd Place in the Tallyn's Reach Cub Scout Pinewood Derby.  The boys were so excited, when I say boys, I include Ryan in that too.  It seriously came down to a block of wood, some wheels, and a whole lot of luck! Thank goodness that Luck decided to join our family Tuesday night.
