The Weekly Goods, Bads, and Uglies

Good: "ALL BY MYSELF" Braydon made this lego helicopter all by himself! He is so proud of himself! I'm so happy too b/c I can retire as the designated Lego Engineer in our family.

Bad: Kole had  3 teeth pulled, we were both pretty scared.
Good: A promise to Toys R Us, after the dentist visit, and Kole was so brave. Ok, he whimpered a little bit, but who wouldn't?

Good: Ryan road his bike 12 miles to work on Bike to Work Day.  Way to go Ry!

Good: Kole's strawberries are growing in his wheelbarrow garden.
Bad:  Aren't we pathetic that our family garden is a small wheelbarrow maintained by our 9 year old?

Good: We were at Braydon's baseball game and Kole went to the conscession stand.  I told him that I didn't want anything but he wanted to get me something anyway. He came back with a bag of trail mix.  He told me that he asked the "worker" what was low fat that his mom could eat.  The worker looked at the labels of several different items and told him the trail mix would be good if his momdidn't eat the M&Ms.  (yeah right, that's the best part of trail mix)  That just reminded me of how sweet Kole can be.

Bad: We told Kole Michael Jackson died and he said, "Who is Michael Jackson?"

The Weekly Goods, Bads, and Uglies

Good: Going to Lava Hot Springs or as my nephew calls it "Hot Hot Lava Springs," for the Kjar Famiy Reunion.

Good: Hanging out with family that we haven't seen in years.

Good/Bad: My sister-in-law, Rochelle and I goofing off at the hot pools (fun, so good right?).  Posting the pictures (bad??) Love ya Rochelle.

Good:  My darling nieces!!

Good: The hot pools were so beautiful.
Bad: The water was between 110 and 112 degrees so you could only sit in them for a few minutes, before needing to cool off.

Good: The Cabin was huge and beautiful.  It was so much fun to hang with the family! Thanks mom and Rochelle.

Good: It was so gorgeous and peaceful there!

UGLY: This handsome man that ran through our family picnic in all his glory. (look for him in the first picture of this post) No, it is not Ryan or any other family member.  A crazy but true story.

The Weekly Goods, Bads, and Uglies

GOOD: Kole got a PACK Award for kindness.  We took tons of cute pictures.
BAD:  There was not a memory card in the camera...so no pictures on "the greatest day of Kole's life"
GOOD: Braydon got to have doughnuts with dad a for Father's Day celebration at school.  We took lots of great pictures of him with dad!
BAD: There was not a memory card in the camera....you know the rest.
GOOD: Kole has some serious mojo.  He told Emerson Gomez that he had a bright future ahead of him so she should marry him.
BAD: She said yes, (not that we don't love her) but we aren't quite ready for a 3rd grade wedding.
GOOD: Braydon had a great baseball game, he had four hits.
BAD: Braydon's team lost 23-24.
Ugly: Ryan in a thong.....did that happen this week? You'll never know.

A Lost Tooth

Yeah!! After years of false alarms, Braydon finally loses his first tooth. No, he couldn't lose it easily, that is not Bray's style. He lost it in his bed. It took forever to find the tooth which was the size of a grain of rice. To top off this glorious event, he got a gold coin from the tooth fairy. "Did I know that was just what he wanted?"

My new ring!!!!!!

For those who don't know, I left my rings on the hood of my truck and then drove to Target, Walmart, and Southlands Mall without remembering the rings were on my truck.  UPS just came to my house and I got a huge surprise! A brand new ring.....how Ryan paid for it, I don't want to know.  Thank you honey, I love it, love it!!!!!

Our tornado/ hail storm Sunday, June 7

These are pictures from our crazy weather yesterday.  We were at church when we heard the crazy hail storm outside.  Little did we know that a tornado had just gone through our neighborhood.  We could see the funnel going back up in the air and then disperse.  It was crazy.  Then, of course we had to drive all over and see what kind of damage had occurred.  Nothing at our house.  Thank goodness.  There were trees split in two, windows blown out at the movie theater, and shops at Southlands Mall.  Our friends had their fence blown down and their patio furniture blew away.  One person had the neighbors wooden playset blow into their yard. What a wild crazy Sunday!!!!
